Laser Clinic · Sydney CBD
A Sydney laser clinic that matches the laser to the concern.
99 Medispa uses Fotona and PicoSure Pro lasers at 99 York Street in the CBD to treat hair, pigmentation, redness, acne, texture and tattoos. Your practitioner looks at the concern, your skin and your treatment history, then chooses the wavelength and settings.

Our lasers
Two laser platforms. Several wavelengths.
Fotona SP Dynamis
Er:YAG 2940 nm · Nd:YAG 1064 nm
Water near the skin's surface absorbs Er:YAG energy, which suits resurfacing and texture work. Nd:YAG reaches deeper, to hair follicles, blood vessels and the collagen layer. We have offered Fotona since 2010.
PicoSure Pro
755 nm · picosecond pulses
PicoSure Pro delivers 755 nm energy in pulses lasting trillionths of a second. We use it for selected pigmentation, tattoo removal and skin revitalisation.

Questions before consultation
What to know first.
Which laser treatment is right for me?
That depends on the concern, its depth, your skin and your treatment history. At the consultation your practitioner compares the lasers that suit your concern and recommends a plan.
Which lasers does 99 Medispa use?
We use the Fotona SP Dynamis, which has Er:YAG 2940 nm and Nd:YAG 1064 nm wavelengths, and the PicoSure Pro, a 755 nm picosecond laser.
Do you offer laser hair removal?
Yes. We use Fotona's long-pulsed Nd:YAG 1064 nm laser. Most areas need 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart.
Is laser treatment suitable for darker skin?
Often, depending on the laser. Nd:YAG 1064 nm is commonly used on darker skin because surface pigment absorbs less of its energy. Your practitioner assesses your skin type at consultation and adjusts the settings or suggests another approach.
Do you use IPL?
No. IPL uses broad-spectrum light and is not a laser. Our Fotona and PicoSure lasers deliver fixed wavelengths, and your practitioner picks the one that suits what is being treated.
How much does laser treatment cost?
Cost depends on the laser, the area and the number of sessions. Your practitioner gives you the price with your plan at the complimentary consultation, before you book anything.
Is every laser treatment the same?
No. PicoSure uses picosecond pulses, while the Fotona uses Er:YAG and Nd:YAG wavelengths. Resurfacing also varies in depth and recovery time.
How much downtime should I expect?
It varies by laser and intensity. Many non-ablative treatments let you return to normal activity the same day, while ablative resurfacing can need several days. Your practitioner explains what to expect and the aftercare for your plan.
